Jasna Stojanovi

Jasna Stojanović (1963), Ph.D. Teaches Spanish Literature and Culture at the School of Philology, University of Belgrade.  Teaching and research interests: Golden Age Literature of Early Modern Spain (theater, novel). Cervantes life and works. Comparative studies. Translation Criticism. Spanish drama and theater from the XVI to the XX centuries. Translation of Literary works from Spanish and French. Jasna Stojanović is author of the monographs Cervantes in Serbian Literature (2005), Don Quixote in serbian culture (2006), Spanish baroque theater (2009, 2011), How did we read Don Quixote. Cervantes´novel in serbian literary critique (2014), editor and co-editor of several books. She translates prose and dramatic texts from modern and classical Spanish, as from French (Lazarillo de Tormes, F. de Moratín´s El sí de las niñas, Jorge Semprún, Juan Mayorga, etc). She publishes papers in national and international reviews (Spain, USA, Slovenia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina). She participated in numerous international scientific conferences in Serbia and abroad. Education. 1995-2000: Ph.D. in Spanish Literature, University of Belgrade.  Dissertation: «Cervantes in Serbian Literature». 1985-1986: AM in Comparative Literature Studies, University of Strasbourg, France.  1981-1985: BA in Spanish Language and Literature, University of Belgrade.  Jasna Stojanović is an elected Member of the Board of the Asociación de Cervantistas (since 2012), Member of the International Association of Hispanistas and the Serbian Association of Literary Translators, Member of ADEF (Association des Diplomés Français en Serbie), and President of the Yugoslav Association for Mediterranean Theater and Art (a branch of IITM, Madrid).
